Roll-A-Dock

Let the good times roll in – Setting the standard in portable rolling dock design since 1971

Hewitt's Roll-A-Dock is simply the fastest and easiest way to get full enjoyment from your waterfront property. In cold climates, there’s no need to endure frigid water – just roll it in and you’re ready for action. The Roll-A-Dock is ideally suited for gradual slopes and works equally well on soft or rocky bottoms. Roll in docks are easily placed using a vehicle or installed in a matter of minutes by as few as two people. A boat dock on wheels is easy to roll in and just as easy to roll it out. It is the ultimate portable dock ideal for your waterfront property.

Easy Adjustment Over a Wide Range of Depths

A built-in winch with a removable hand crank allows quick height adjustment for different depths or changing water levels. Adjustments are easily made without ever stepping into the water. The standard model adjusts from 2-1/2’ to 5-1/2’ and our deep water kit allows adjustment from 2-1/2’ to 8’.

Aluminum or Galvanized Steel Frame

Roll in aluminum docks are lightweight and makes seasonal installation and removal quick and effortless. It has great corrosion resistance in all environments, requiring minimal maintenance and long-term peace of mind.

Roll in galvanized steel docks are heavier than aluminum, which gives it added durability, strength, and stability—ideal for challenging water conditions. The durable zinc coating protects it against rust, making it a dependable option for extended performance and longevity.

Width and Length Options

While some portable roll in dock systems are as narrow as 36”, Hewitt's Roll-A-Dock gives you the choice of 4’ or 6’ wide models – plenty of room for people to meet and pass. In addition, for the length of each section can be 16', 20', 24', 32' or 48' long.

An "L" design dock can also be included at either 4' or 8' long. A "T" design is also possible, along with custom dock dimensions and sizes.

Double Bracing

Double Bracing

Hewitt's dock on wheels has a unique “V” type bracing, which reduces the clear span on a 32’ dock to only 21’. This design gives the wheel assembly superior strength both front and rear and assures maximum stability on soft or rocky bottoms.

Double Strength Connections

Double Strength Connections

With Roll-A-Dock’s exclusive connecting system, there is no loss of strength, even at the joints. The integrity of this design makes it possible to have a steel frame dock up to 32’ in length that requires no extra supports.

Bridged Framework

Bridged Framework

The Roll-A-Dock tapered frame incorporates design principles proven in bridge and rafter construction. This design provides maximum strength with a minimum of weight. The open sides of the frame also improve stability by reducing wave resistance.
